LADIES MEDITERRANEAN LUNCH
Saturday July 18, 2009
12 P.M. at Bible Baptist Church
At our recent Ladies’ Meeting, we had a blessed time of good fellowship and food with approximately 60 women attending. It was a Mediterranean themed meal that included assorted Antipasto platters with Greek and Lebanese dips, Smoked Turkey Tetrazzini, Baked Spaghetti, Chicken Souvlaki, Spanakopita, Greek Vegetable Casserole, Eggplant Parmigiana, Italian Stuffed Rice Balls, Salad, and a beautiful Chocolate Fountain with an assortment of fruits, biscotti, and cakes. Needless to say, nobody went away hungry!!
Since we scheduled the meeting during our last Revival that featured three young men who went out from our church as Missionaries and Pastors, we thought we’d honor their wives, and hear from them their experiences, blessings, hardships and victories since being in their various ministries. Our honored speakers were Maria Kyriopoulos (
"And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life". Mark 10:29-30
Finally, to Sister Judi’s surprise, Sarah Antonios presented a beautiful bouquet of flowers with an added surprise…a beautiful Ruby and Diamond Ring tied to a flower, a precious gift from a very loving church family.
“Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love…the fellowship of kindred minds is like to that above.”
"For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister".
Hebrews 6:10
